POLISHING PERFECTION

Discovering Perfection is the final stage in “Polishing Perfection”. It is to be done after the potential consumers have acknowledged the need to use SK-II and are seeking more information. Thus, we will be launching an online digital Facebook game app to aid in the learning of SK-II.

As mentioned earlier, the Facebook game app aims to challenge consumers to take up the 14 days SK-II trial. However before taking the challenge, there is a need to address the functional benefits of SK-II. The concept of this game is based on the common ‘Find the Pairs’ game. In this case, the consumers will have to match the different functional benefits such as Texture Refinement and Firmness Power etc, and also the use of Pitera.  There will be 3 stages in the games where the level of difficult will increase with each stage. All participants are entitled to a 14-days trial sample of Facial Treatment Essence that they can redeem at any SK-II counters.

To provide more incentive for consumers, there will be prizes to be won during the month the game will be running. The top 3 participants of each week whom are able to complete all 3 stages within the shortest time span will win themselves a bottle of Facial treatment essence. Nonetheless, all participants will be entitled to the grand prize draw held at the end of the month. The grand prize can be a basic SK-II products kit. Lastly, before the game, the participants have to ‘LIKE’ SK-II Facebook page, allowing them to be part of the SK-II community and be updated with its latest developments.

Similar to every marketing program, the online digital Facebook game has its limitations too. To maintain the current image of SK-II being a premium skincare brand, the game needs to be elegantly designed. One suggested method is to only use the key colours of SK-II – sliver, white, and maroon red – for the overall design of the game. Furthermore, the popularity of the game is partly dependent on the sharing factor on Facebook to spread to their friends. SK-II can also utilise its current social bloggers to promote the game and provide positive reviews of the game. Lastly, this game will only have a short-term growth effect since it will only last for a month and is dependent on word-of-month to continuously promote SK-II.
